About Me

Hello and a warm welcome to you

My name is Deepa. I am a UKCP registered Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist, which means  I work holistically, combining the mind and body; using a range of orientations and approaches, depending on what is best suited to you, as a unique individual. I have experience of working with diverse people with a range of mental health difficulties, in varied settings such as Mind, Cruse Bereavement Care, Headstrong Counselling, Help Counselling, and observation work at the Maudsley Hospital, well known for treating psychiatric illnesses.

You may be feeling scared or anxious about starting therapy, not knowing what to expect. Therapy with me involves working together at your pace, with warmth, gentleness, compassion and empathy. Where you are deeply heard and respected, no matter what you are feeling or experiencing. Your relationship with me is at the heart of how I work.

After a career in research and my rich life experience, with an Asian background, I have come to a place where I am able to relate to the struggles that you may have. It may feel like a really lonely place, where you feel stuck, or that it is really hard to tell someone about what you are going through. I will be supporting you at every stage and helping you to find a way through. I believe it is in our struggles where we can discover our strengths and potential. Please feel free to contact me and we can have a further chat about how I can hep you.
